Like arrows
in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.
So are the children of one's youth.
Psalm 127:4
We do not cease to give thanks for our youth, making mention
of them in our prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of glory, may give to them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of Him, the eyes of their understanding being enlightened;
that they may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the
glory of His inheritance in the them, and what is the exceeding
greatness of His power toward all of us who believe, according to the working
of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him
from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far
above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is
named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all
things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Ephesians
1:15-22)
We ask for a government that invests in our children’s education
from kindergarten through college. Thank
you for moving upon the hearts of men and women to do Your will in both public
and private education sectors. We pray
for superintendents, principles, teachers, professors, counselors, and coaches. We ask that you strengthen them with might by
Your Spirit in their inner man; show them Your love so that they may love the
students and their parents, thereby affording them a better education.
Father we ask for parents that would raise their children up
in the nurture and admonition of the Lord; that fathers do not provoke their
children to wrath, but cherish them and nourish them. Show each parent how to tenderly discipline
them in a way that causes the children to love their parents and desire to obey
them in all things.
We thank you, Father, that you
have given the youth of the USA a hope and a future. Their future is very bright.
